Admission Requirements

Admission requirements are designed to ensure that students are prepared for success in their chosen program. Requirements may vary by program.

General Admission Requirements

All applicants must meet the following:

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • Completion of high school studies or equivalent
  • Or mature student status (19 years of age or older)

English Language Requirements

All applicants must demonstrate an adequate level of English proficiency. English proficiency can be demonstrated in one of the following ways:

Option 1: Prior Education
  • Completion of English 10, 11, or 12 (or equivalent) with a minimum grade of “C” for proficiency in reading and writing
  • Two years of full-time education in English in an English-speaking country (for speaking and listening)
Option 2: Standardized Tests

Applicants may provide results from one of the following assessments:

IELTS: 5.5 – 6.0 (depending on program)
Duolingo: 95
TOEIC: 650–700
TOEFL (Paper): 500–537
TOEFL (iBT): 65–75
Cambridge: PET–FCE
CELPIP: 6–7
CAEL: 40–50
PTE: 36–46
LanguageCERT: B2 Level

Additional Requirements

Applicants may also be required to provide:

  • Proof of identity (passport or government-issued ID)
  • Proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency (for domestic students)
